About Our School

Norco Elementary School is located in the heart of Norco, Louisiana, a close-knit community on the western end of the east bank of St. Charles Parish. Nestled among beautiful oak and pine trees near the Bonnet Carré Spillway, our campus sits at the end of Fifth Street and proudly serves as the heart of an industrious, family-oriented community.

Established in 1929, Norco Elementary was originally located on Apple Street. As our community continued to grow, a new campus was built in 1961 to accommodate increasing enrollment. Since then, three additional wings have been added, with the most recent expansion completed in the spring of 2015. Today, Norco Elementary serves students from Pre-K through fifth grade, including four-year-old preschool and non-categorical preschool programs.

At Norco Elementary, our mission is to create a safe, loving environment in which there are high levels of learning. We believe every child can achieve success when they are challenged, supported, and encouraged to reach their fullest potential. Through high-quality instruction, meaningful relationships, and a commitment to continuous growth, we strive to develop confident, compassionate, and lifelong learners who are prepared for future success.

Our website is designed to provide families and community members with helpful information about our school, programs, and events. We invite parents, business partners, and community members to become active participants in the education of our students.
