Where Lifelong Learners Excel

MISSION & PHILOSOPHY

The mission of Norco Elementary School is to create a safe, loving environment in which there are high levels of learning.

Norco Elementary School, nestled among oak and pine trees in the town of Norco, is truly a community school located in the heart of an industrial town. Originally established in 1929, the school's current site was built in 1961 and now services pre-kindergarten through fifth grade. In addition to providing students with strong academic skills, Norco Elementary School's goal is to encourage students to have strong character traits such as integrity, kindness, perseverance, generosity, empathy, etc. As a result, the school chooses three non-profit organizations to support each year.

Conducted by an independent research team from the National School Public Relations Association, the anonymous online survey takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. Responses will help the district evaluate and enhance how it shares important information, including academic updates, community events, and district initiatives.

Celebrating the Power of Public Schools: Honoring Educators, Students, and Community Partnerships

St. Charles Parish Public Schools is joining districts across the nation in celebrating Public Schools Week, a time to recognize the invaluable contributions of educators, students, families, and community members who make public education thrive. From February 24-28, SCPPS is sharing the #PowerOfPublicSchools on social media, showcasing the impact, achievements, and opportunities provided by public education. Daily community testimonials will shine a light on the district's commitment to excellence, while a special series - A Day in the Life - will follow the journeys of three public school students. Additionally, every SCPPS student will receive a "Public School Proud" car magnet featuring the message "You and I...We are SCPPS!" - a visible reminder of the pride and strength of public education in our parish.
